TOB Appoints Andrew Monteleone to Town Board

The Oyster Bay Town Board has appointed Syosset attorney and community leader Andrew Monteleone to fill the vacant seat on the Town Board left when longtime Councilwoman Michele Johnson was elected as a Nassau District Court Judge.
“It is an incredible honor to be appointed to the Oyster Bay Town Board,” stated Monteleone. “I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me, and I look forward to working tirelessly on behalf of our residents, and I am committed to preserving the values that make our town so great.”
Monteleone previously served as a Board Member of the Town of Oyster Bay’s Zoning Board of Appeals, and serves as prosecutor for a local village government.
He has been a leader in supporting youth development, and serves as a School Board Member for St. Edward the Confessor School in Syosset.
“Andrew's experience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our community make him a tremendous asset," stated Supervisor Joe Saladino. "I look forward to working alongside him to continue delivering responsible government for our residents.”
Monteleone is also an active lecturer at St. Edward the Confessor Parish and a coach for the Syosset Little League, helping foster growth, teamwork, and leadership in young athletes.
Monteleone’s professional journey began as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, where he prosecuted criminal cases from arraignment to jury trials. He later transitioned to private practice, founding a law firm, Monteleone & Siegel in Mineola, specializing in person injury litigation, and estate planning.
Monteleone has served as a President of the Former Assistant District Attorney’s Association and Board Member of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Nassau County.
He is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, and Knights of Columbus.
A graduate of Chaminade High School, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Political Science from Bucknell University, followed by a Master of Arts in Political Science from Long Island University – C.W. Post; and his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
Andrew Monteleone resides in Syosset with his wife, Tracey, and their two sons, Frankie and Gabe.
