Rotary Head, William Bohn, Killed in Train Crash

William Bohn of Huntington, a prominent local business owner and President of the Huntington Rotary Club, was killed in a horrible train crash. He was killed Saturday morning when a west-bound train struck his car at the Pulaski Road LIRR crossing.

Bohn was the owner and President of Summit Graphics Inc., a digital and offset print management and consulting firm. Over his lifetime, he volunteered his time and talents to many community organizations

“The Huntington Rotary Club and Huntington community have experienced a profound loss in the passing of our dear friend Bill Bohn this past Saturday morning.” stated the Rotary Club in an announcement. “Bill was a man of great integrity, humility, and dedication to serving others. From his family, to our Huntington and Long Island communities, to international Rotary causes, Bill's altruism was immense.“

“Huntington has lost a great man,” stated Assemblyman Keith Brown (R-Northport). “Bill was such a great guy. This is a huge loss for our community.”

Bohn, age 69, enjoyed hiking, skiing golfing, climbing mountains, and was an Eagle Scout. He was currently the President of the Huntington Rotary Club, and past President of the Townwide Fund of Huntington.

He was active in the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, the Friends of Oheka, and the Boy Scouts of America. A funeral Mass was held last Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington.
