Nick LaLota for US Congress (1st District)

Nick LaLota is only finishing his freshman term in the US Congress, and has already faced some of the most difficult challenges for any session in the House of Representatives.

Even before being sworn-in, LaLota had to deal with the eruption in the neighboring Third District, as Fraudster George Santos was exposed as a wanted criminal and sociopath; and then the fractious days-long intra-party fight on the floor of the House over electing Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.

LaLota handled each crisis like an adult and a leader - being the first Congressman to call for Santos' ouster, and standing firm to elect stable House GOP leadership.

Equally important, LaLota always remembered that he is in Congress to represent his north shore Suffolk County district, fighting to protect Long Island Sound; fighting to protect the beach at Asharoken; fighting to preserve Plum Island; and fighting to protect our local schools.

LaLota has been a strong advocate for Long Island homeowners - fighting to restore the homewoners' SALT deductions and home mortgage deductions.  He has also been a strong advocate for restoring the US border and stopping the mass illegal migrant surge that the Biden administration allowed into this country.

Opposing LaLota is Democrat John Avlon, an intelligent and articulate former CNN television anchor.

But Avlon is just the latest rich "Out of Towner" to run in NY1, which has had a long line of rich Manhattan residents who re-register out of their Hamptons summer homes, and then dump millions into - what are always unsuccessful - runs for US Congress.

Nick LaLota is a solid respected leader and representative in the US Congress, and has earned another term.
