Jack Martins for NYS Senate (District 7)
Jack Martins has just completed his fourth term in the NYS Senate, having served from 2010 to 2016; and then from 2022 to today. He has marked himself as a common-sense pro-homeowner suburban representative, and a respected leader in the Senate.
NYS Senate District 7 includes North Hempstead, Glen Cove, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay and the Brookvilles. The heart of the north shore.
Martins's record is as a leader in pro-small business initiatives and pro-environment successes. He has done more than any state official to protect Long Island's precious groundwater - our "sole-source aquifer."
Martins enacted the "2% tax cap" to stop NYS tax increases - which kept state spending and taxation under control during former Governor Cuomo's first term. And he repealed the MTA tax and cut tax NYS rates to the lowest level in 60 years. It is a record to be proud of.
Martins' opponent, Kim Keiserman, is a "community organizer" from Port Washington. She supports all the wrong things - the Democrats' "no bail" laws, expanded migrant housing, and Gov. Hochul's mass apartment housing schemes - that threaten our neighborhoods and schools.
Jack Martins has been a fighter for all of us on Long Island.
The Leader proudly endorses Jack Martins for NYS Senate.
