Dan Norber for NYS Assembly (District 16)
In what is probably the closest race on the North Shore, freshman incumbent Democratic Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti (D- Port Washington) is being challenged by Republican businessman Dan Norber.
In her one term, Sillitti has been a "low intelligence" embarrassment. Last year the Leader broke a story about Illegal Migrants being dropped at 4AM, by bus, at the Port Washington LIRR station. The story was confirmed by the police in Port Washington. But the story was politically "inconvenient" for Sillitti, who preferred to "pretend" there were no Migrants on Long Island.
So Sillitti - a government official - disgracefully attacked the Leader and our reporters calling the newspaper "fake news"" and "hateful bigotry." Just for reporting the Truth. Someone so stupidly hostile to a free press should be removed from office.
Dan Norber, a successful businessman, lives in Great Neck with his wife and four children. He founded and ran a chain of successful restaurants. Then sold them and founded Imperial Movers - now one of the most successful regional moving companies in our area.
Norber supports all the right things: Repeal of the disastrous "No Bail" cashless bail laws; a Mask Transparency Act to protect people against masked violent criminals; and a cut in property taxes to help homeowners and seniors.
The Democrats have more than a 2/3 majority in the Assembly, which allows their "loony left" to run wild. Norber would be a common-sense addition to help balance a very unbalanced Assembly.
The Leader endorses Dan Norber for NYS Assembly.
