Bon Voyage for Ambassador George Tsunis

By Maureen Daly
The Huntington Town Board hosted a special awards and bon voyage ceremony this week for the new US Ambassador to Greece, George Tsunis.
Tsunis is a Locust Valley resident, who lived for many years in Huntington.
Tsunis was confirmed last month by the US Senate in a bipartisan vote. He will travel to Hreece and present his credentials to the Greek President later this spring.
Tsunis is a local businessman, and chief of Chartwell Hotels. He is re-building the historic Old Town Hall in Huntington into a 76 room boutique downtown hotel.
