Musical artist Billy Joel, famously known for his songs “Uptown Girl,” “Piano Man,” and “Movin' Out,” has re-listed his magnificent waterfront estate in Centre Island on Oyster Bay for sale for $49.9 Million.
He is also selling his Florida home - and in contract - for almost the same amount.
Joel had previously listed the Centre Island property for sale in 2023, but then pulled it off the market to make numerous improvements.
According to Berkshire Hathaway, the 26-acre waterfront estate was “recently transformed by a meticulous multimillion-dollar renovation with unparalleled luxury.” The property features four separate homes on the estate.
"This is an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind estate on over 26 acres with 2,000 square feet of waterfront on Oyster Bay Harbor," states the listing. "The estate includes a 20,000-square-foot house currently under renovation, plus a three-bedroom beach house, in-ground pool, helicopter pad, floating dock, and boat ramp, as well as a three-bedroom guest apartment, a bowling alley, an indoor pool, and a four-bedroom guesthouse with an attached three-bedroom apartment."
The property also includes "3 separate buildable 4-acre waterfront lots."
Elevators and numerous high-end amenities, including a private bowling alley, a wine cellar, a spa, an impressive ballroom, and an outdoor waterfall, not one, but two swimming pools, a dock, and a boat ramp are some of the few perks of this home.
Joel recently purchased an estate in East Hampton for $10 Million, and - as of last week - is in contract to sell his waterfront Manalapan, Florida waterfront estate, which he also listed for $49.9 million.
Joel plans to divide his time between Long Island and Florida.
“I’m just gonna spend a little more time in Florida like old Jewish guys from Long Island do,” joked Joel.
